Indulgent 5-minute sketch of Castiel!
The fact is, I am not a roaring Supernatural fan, but this chap is an angel in an overcoat, so what are you going to do. Also, as much as I know Cas is adorable and Hufflepuffy and in love with Dean Winchester etc etc, I’m more interested in the other side of him; the fact he’s a member of an elite species bred for violence. I mean, this is a warrior who has literally waded through the blood of thousands— including that of his brothers and sisters, was evidently ruthless and dangerous enough to be granted the title of Captain, and commanded an army against one of the most powerful entities in the universe.
I mean, Castiel was literally born to kill.
…well, of course, now he’s off chasing bees, but the point still pretentiously stands.

Today I gave into temptation.
Today I skipped a season and a half and went straight to Lazarus Whateverklajdsfkl because tumblr is pretty much Castiel Galore.com and I needed to finally meet him.
So Castiel was introduced, which was a super dramatic and amazing and full of explosions event. He is hilariously deadpan. And beautifully stunted in communication skills.
I love the clash of personalities he has with Dean and the whole Idontbelieveinangelsdespiteseeingghostsanddemonsandvampiresmyentirelife conflict Dean has dealing with Cas’ actual existence. Which, with Dean’s mindset and background, does make a lot of sense to feel that way about them and I’m excited to see how he deals.
Also fun is Dean’s conflict with Sam’s believing in them/praying every day thing/being hellbent on trying to make Dean acknowledge them with solid damn proof. So much conflict. Conflict is the best.
Oh yeah, and I scribbled a Castiel. That too. Actually, I think that was the point of this post.
